Hanoi Tour Overview
8-day, 7-night guided journey across Vietnam covering Ho Chi Minh City, Danang with Hoi An and Ba Na Hills, an overnight cruise in Halong Bay, and Hanoi. The trip includes domestic flights, hotel accommodation, selected meals, guided city tours, cultural experiences such as water puppet show and Hoi An lantern release, a visit to Cu Chi Tunnels, Ba Na Hills attractions including the Golden Bridge and cable cars, and an overnight traditional junk cruise in Halong Bay with onboard activities and meals. Hanoi Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the local driver and guide will meet and welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure for personal exploration or relaxation. Overnight stay in Saigon.
Day 2
Full day sightseeing in Ho Chi Minh City followed by a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Visit key French colonial landmarks and the Independence Palace in the morning, then depart by bus for the Cu Chi tunnel complex where you will learn about wartime life, explore tunnel systems and see living and military facilities, followed by local refreshments and optional activities. Return to Saigon for overnight.
Day 3
After breakfast the day is free at leisure to explore Ho Chi Minh City on your own. Opportunities include visiting local markets, museums, cafes, or additional sightseeing at personal pace. Overnight stay in Saigon.
Day 4
Morning transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for a domestic flight to Danang. On arrival transfer to Quang Nam Province to visit Hoi An Ancient Town, including historic sites such as the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, a 300-year-old Chinese temple, and a 200-year-old former merchants' house. Enjoy a Hoai River boat trip with release of colorful water lanterns and visit Da Nang's Dragon Bridge. Return to the hotel in Danang for overnight.
Day 5
Full day at Ba Na Hills exploring via the modern cable car system with panoramic views of Da Nang. Visit attractions including the Golden Bridge, Le Jardin D'amourn, Linh Ung Pagoda, and the French Village. Ride additional cable cars, take the Lava Train to attractions like Helios Waterfall and the Moon Kingdom, and enjoy numerous entertainment options in Fantasy Park. Return to Danang for overnight.
Day 6
After breakfast transfer to the airport for a flight to Hanoi. On arrival at Noi Bai International Airport meet your driver and guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Visit Train Street to experience the train passing by with surrounding coffee shops, enjoy a traditional water puppet show that depicts Vietnamese culture, and visit and shop in the Old Quarter with its 36 ancient wards and streets. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 7
Morning departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay through the Red River Delta with views of rural village life. Arrive in Halong Bay and board a traditional sailing junk for an overnight cruise. Afternoon activities include exploring caves, beaches, floating villages, and rock formations, and enjoying onboard services such as a chef's cooking demonstration. Lunch and dinner are served on board; evening entertainment may include movie night, squid fishing, or enjoying a cocktail while surrounded by limestone karsts. Overnight stay on the cruise.
Day 8
Early morning optional Tai Chi on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast and colorful brunch while continuing to explore Halong Bay and its many islets. After brunch return to port and transfer to Noi Bai airport for departure. End of trip with overnight in Hanoi noted in itinerary.
